Main Power and Control Panels (MPCPs) are an option for modular heat pump arrays, to control the operation and provide the single point power connection to the attached heat pumps. MPCPs are factory mounted on the order of a modular array, if selected as the control option for the array. MPCPs are NOT available for standalone installations. All MPCPs include a NEMA 4 enclosure, with touchscreen in a UV resistant enclosure, and all MPCPs are certified to UL508A. MPCPs are voltage-specific and must match the primary power voltage of the attached heat pumps.

The MPCP-G variants include a BMS Gateway, to facilitate integration into buildings with BACnet® building management systems.

The control panels are compatible with both single-pass and multi-pass systems. Single-pass systems can use up to 3 tank sensors in series, plus a pipe mounted termination sensor. Multi-pass systems can monitor up to 3 tanks in parallel, plus a pipe mounted tank outlet sensor in multiple-tank applications.

All MPCPs provide two digital outputs to control external devices in response to run conditions, and data logging for alarms and system conditions. There is also one analog output to control external variable speed pumps specific to multi-pass operation.

Finally, the MPCP consolidates the power feeds to the modular array’s heat pumps. Nameplate electrical ratings for consolidated arrays are included in the literature for the array you are ordering.
