Updated Submittal, Manual, POM, and software for e360. Marked previous versions as Legacy

Hello again from the Nyle Product Team!

Today we’re announcing a significant update to the e360 product line.  There are several significant changes to announce, as a result of our most recent work in the test chamber:

  1. We have significantly improved fan speed control.  The maximum required airflow for this unit has dropped almost 4,000 CFM, the sound data is MUCH lower (You’re welcome, Seattle!) and the available static pressure for ducting is an impressive 4.3 In. WCG!  This is a software change, so existing units can realize this benefit as well.
  2. We have a new single-pass performance chart, including defrost de-rate!  Obviously, capacity will be lower with defrost included.  However, we are happy to report that the actual de-rate of the unit was less than 20% at low ambient, which is significantly lower than many of the assumed de-rate values we’ve used ourselves in the past, and seen used by others.  So if defrost safety factors are removed, you should see a net increase in unit capacity at low ambient conditions!
  3. AHRI 1160 data is included, for our Canadian friends.
  4. Recovery Rates are much higher and now conform to DOE calculation methods.
  5. Nominal DOE capacity and COP have been added to the submittals.

Existing submittals and manuals will remain in effect for units previously shipped, and new versions of those documents are being released today to cover e360 heat pumps moving forward. A new programming and operation manual, for the new software version, is also being released.

We expect the first units to ship with these changes will have production dates of 7/31 or later:  however, again, the only real change here is software-driven, so any in-progress project or even already installed project can take advantage of these improvements simply by performing a software update.

As always, thank you for all you do, and best wishes until next time!
